Our fourth scribe is a sporty type called Al Black. He contributes insightful pieces about that great oval ball game, Rugby Union. He wears a patch over one eye rather like a pirate or a Canterbury supporter, so sometimes his views are a little less than balanced. However his knowledge of the game and assessment of the players are affected equally so the end result is perfectly balanced.
