All His World's A Stage (like the terrible twos)

He' s in the news again and this time we have to wonder whether it is "News, Jim but not as we know it".

Of course I am talking about the Trumpster and his latest stunt. Yes, that is stunt that I just said and I mean it quite seriously.

Let's remember this guy lives in a fantasy world and tells lies every chance he gets. We are being led to believe that somebody has attempted to assassinate him ..... and it MUST be true because we have all seen it on the telly. But just exactly what have we seen? And why should we not believe our eyes about this?

First of all we should look at the environment in which tyhis drama is being played out. The run-up is on for an election in one of the biggest countries in the world and it is a fight that is likely to be very dirty long before it is over. This massive country of 400 million people cannot find anyone better than the current leaders of the two largest parties. One of those is a dangerous maniac in his late seventies and the other is a very unwell man who will be 82 by the time this election is over. Neither of these two are fit to run more than a bath for themselves never mind a country the size of the USA.

We have seen how ugly this is going to become, especially if Biden cannot be replaced by a younger and more coherent contender. The recent "debate" (it's debatable that it was a debate) has led to an enormous amount of humiliation for old Joe, but at the same time it is bound to be garnering a certain amount of what one might call the sympathy vote. Ever since that debate, we have seen a lot more publicity for geriatric Joe and a little less focus on Trump.

It therefore is likely that Trump, who despite all his baravado, may be a little unsure that he will be able to get back into the oval office. His advisors will be keen to keep him in the spotlight and what better vehicle to launch a whole lot more attention on him that to have somebody try to assassinate him. Surely the wider public including the millions who can't stand the bastard will be sympathetic towards him when he has had to endure an experience like that. Some of that sympathy might even lead to some more votes going his way, especially if he can look heroic at the same time.

You might think that this is a pretty wild claim, or even a bloody great rabbit hole, but just consider a few things for a moment:

  1. A young man (who is alleged to be a Republican) manages to climb onto the roof of a building near to where Trump is holding a rally without any of the security staff noticing him.

  2. That same young man has a clear line of sight to Trump and still manages to miss him completely from a distance of less that 140 metres with one shot and merely clip him around the lughole with another, before firing off a few wild shots into the crowd allegedly killing one and seriously injuring several more.

  3. The weapon used is said to have been a semi-automatic AR 15. Now this particular gun is extremely noisy and anyone who has seen the clip of the alleged assassination attempt should recall that the shots we heard were not loud at all. Many of you will be letting off much noisier explsoives on Guy Fawkes Night. So why was that AR 15 so quiet?

  4. Trump claims to have been hit once in his right ear. But what are the odds against a shot being fired at the right hand side of a person's face resulting in such a pissy little injury. I am reminded of the old western movies that we used to see at the local flea pit when a hail of bullets would be fired at the cowboy in the white hat and he would say "It just creased me" and a sticking plaster would be put over his wound and they all lived happily ever after.

  5. Trump did not lose his footing or get knocked off his feet when he was "shot". He merely put his hand up to his ear like a magician with a wee blood bag. Then under persuasion and force from his minders he was encouraaged to duck down lest the next shot be more accurate.

  6. Finally as Trump was led away he did a couple of fist pumps just like that cowboy would have done if the movie was being made today and called for a fight, just like he did on January 6th. (Oh, irony)

So what we have here are a lot of things that simply don't make any sense. A young man who is a republican supporter gets through security like a knife through butter, then takes a shot at Trump with a very noisy gun which, in this case sounded like a small firecracker, and minimal damage occurs to Trump and he appears unaffected despite (or maybe because of) a shot to the head.

Those are the facts, but many of you may debate my suggestions about this whole thing being a set-up and you might think it impossible for such a thing to be a set-up. For one thing what about the civilian who was shot dead and the others who were allegedly badly injured? Would smeone ever dare to pull a stunt like that when there is a chance that innocent bystanders could be killed. But we have seen plenty of instances where the Funny People (FBI, CIA etc) have pulled stunts like that and accepted that there might be "collateral damage". The whole thing looked staged.

Obviously I can't be certain that this is what happened, but by the same token, I don't think we can rule it out when the main beneficiary of the resultant sympathy is a man who lied all the way through that debate. You simply can't believe a single thing he says or does and therefore you can't safely rule out anything he might get up to if it might benefit him or portray him as the super hero that he would like to think he is.
